Terms of Service

1. Who we are

[COMPANY LEGAL NAME], [legal form], registered at [ADDRESS], [COUNTRY], registration number [NUMBER] ("we", "us"). Contact: support@clarity-dev.com.

2. The service

Clarity is a Visual Studio Code extension. An active subscription and license key are required to use it. AI model usage occurs through your own third-party provider accounts and is governed by those providers' terms; we are not a party to that relationship.

3. Merchant of record

Purchases are processed by Polar Software Inc. as merchant of record. Polar handles payment, applicable taxes, and billing-related customer service for transactions.

4. Licenses and plans

[Individual: one named user, up to 5 devices. Individual plans may not be procured or reimbursed by organizations for their staff — organizations must use Teams or Enterprise. Teams/Enterprise: per-seat licensing; each seat is for one named member.]

5. Trials, renewal, and cancellation

[14-day free trial; payment method collected at checkout; auto-charge at trial end unless cancelled; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled via the customer portal.]

6. Price changes

We may change subscription prices. Price changes for existing subscriptions take effect at the next renewal, and we will notify you at least [30] days in advance; you may cancel before the change takes effect.

7. EU consumer withdrawal right

[14-day withdrawal right for EU consumers and its interaction with immediate service supply — coordinate wording with Polar's checkout consent flow. Legal review required.]

8. Acceptable use

[No key sharing beyond device limits; no circumvention of license enforcement; no resale.]

9. Warranty, liability, indemnity

[Standard limitation-of-liability language appropriate to jurisdiction. Legal review required.]

10. Governing law and disputes

[JURISDICTION; note mandatory consumer protections in the consumer's country of residence within the EU.]
